This is the house I went to view, I liked it.

It was bought in November 2001 for £66,950. The asking price is £139,950, valuation at £132 and they probably want £135. I was thinking of offering £129.

The property advert is here.

OF all the places I've seen this is BY FAR the nicest - it flicks my switch and floats my boat in many ways, for example it's not too huge unlike say 29, Coulston Road which I also liked, nor is it as closed in as some of the old mill workers cottages - or as huge as the other place I saw which was too big with great views but no yard. It's a cul-de-sac and close to town, big back road (not mancy rubbish strwn lane) with anough space to park, south facing yard and all OK.

Some BIG QUESTIONS though - structurally and so on. The seller is moving end of the year to a new job so wants to sell. No Previous surveys though and I recon cut out the middle man and go straight for a structural at around £300.

Need to find out why the bathroom has separate gas heater not central heating - is the boiler at capacity, other questions included below.

Would def want some furnishings etc. chucked in.

Soe what do YOU think - use the comment button please!

From the front - bay window and door straight on to pavement. Great location though. Posted by Picasa

From the back - the concrete skin could hide a multitude of sins, how old/how bad? Posted by Picasa

Loads of space in master bedroom/attic study Posted by Picasa

The attic room - space for an en-suite at the back? THat'd be great, but where would the money come from? Othersie a LONG way from a loo! Posted by Picasa

The view from the attic room - if you lean against the window that is... Posted by Picasa

Stairs up to attic room Posted by Picasa

That's all the view you get from bedroom - but it's not as closed in as the 2 up 2 down outside loo and a cup of bovril houses round the corner... Posted by Picasa

Good size double bedroom at the front Posted by Picasa

The double bedroom - no view though :-( Posted by Picasa

That's the back yard - big enough for a small car (or park it out the back day to day) and south facing so sunny Posted by Picasa

Kids room/ possible sudy? Posted by Picasa

Real working and v. v. pretty fire - I really really really like that! Posted by Picasa

Currently very open to a good sized kitchen/diner which is also nice and light, then through from there to the bathroom (brrrr) Posted by Picasa

Nice lounge, bay makes it light, you do get the JW's IN YOUR LOUNGE though - but is that the worst thing ever??? Posted by Picasa

Bathroom's nice enough - not too small but will it be damp/cold? Posted by Picasa

Gonna be a bit cold without putting souble glazing in the bathroom too - gloucester was baltic and it's NOT nice! Posted by Picasa

And this cellar is a bit mancy really - not sure where all that water's come from - washing machine and defrosted freezer or real problems afoot? Drain a little smelly and loft glass-wool style insulation falling out of ceiling... Posted by Picasa

You can kind of see straight through from the pavement Posted by Picasa

Now there;'s no two ways about it - that's a BIG crack in the back outside extension.

And it's not a shed, it's the bathroom!!! Posted by Picasa
